We are made in his image :)

Howdy, lol :)

Sooo, just wanted to remind all the readers. That we are created in God's image, we shouldn't try to please this world. It will only leave you feeling empty. Chasing fads, abandoning your convictions, are steps in the wrong direction. We should want to dress and act in a way that is pleasing in God's eyes. That's when you feel real beauty. There is all kinds of pressure from the media, that try to dictate how we should all look. Just look above that, give it a good stiff arm. lol We are not of this world, after all we are the apple of God's eye (Psalm 17). Not comprimising is not only beautiful in God's eyes but others as well. Also, drop the mentality that says, "your not good enough". If that were the case then there would be no Calvary. Thank God for his mercy, through him we are more than conquerors. (Romans 8:37) :).

"I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14)

".....Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness" (1 Ch. 16:29)

"His Treasured Possesion" (Deutermony 7:6)

Think about it, okay? lol Have a good day :)

Verizon Iphone 4 Launch Date Feb 10th 2011

Hey, Hey! :)

Okay so there has been rumors(As you have all probably already heard) Verizon was planning on selling the IPhone 4. We all got tired of hearing the same old "boy cried wolf" ramblings. Well this time its for real. Verizon has set a launch date for Feb 10th. I personally have an IPhone, but would love to see the competition heat up. As you all know, the consumer benefits from competition.(usually) lol. So if Verizon is your carrier and you've been wanting an IPhone. Your time has come. You can finally become cool! lol. I'm teasing, IPhone does have its share of problems(mainly dead zones), on the flip side Verizon has always boasted on having "America's most reliable service" (blah blah) ;). I use to have Verizon and I personally agree. So do your homework, run the numbers, check your options.

Heres the link, verizonwireless.com/b2c/splash/iphone.jsp

Hope you have a great day,

2010 IN RETROSPECT

With one day left in 2010, I took time to think about this year. Many memories flood my mind. I thank God for all the little things we take for granted. I can't think of one night when my family or I have gone with out food...or slept in a park, or even took a bus to work.(no disrespect to any who do). Day after day, year after year, God still provides. I thank God for health, which is something that on any given day can be stripped from us. My family could of never attended a truth preaching church. What a journey it has been thus far :) I don't want to take a step with out God. I never have or ever will deserve his grace. Looking at 2010 in retrospect, its been a year where I've been a bigger blessing to my church. By this I mean I gained weight! haha I actually took up drumming and play for services. It's become a passion of mine :) Playing for services hasn't been all that easy either...I've blown it major sometimes. lol In the words of sister White, "To be a musician you gotta be tough!!" :) To be used of God you just have to be willing and make your self available.I am also thankful for all the new friends I've made this year. Earlier this year I left my old job because they couldn't grant me Sundays off. This was difficult to do because it was flexible with my school hours. I prayed about and left it. God provided me with the best job I've ever had! M-F hours and I don't work past 2:30. I been introduced to the entire financial industry. Mathew 6:33"seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto thee" Pretty much sums it up! :)

Thank God for what hes done, what he is doing, and what hes gonna do. So bring on the new year! :)
Have a good day, see you all next year ;)

Countless hours of practice and careful planning. Everyone did a great job. Congrats to Vivian for winning the "Musician of the Year Award".

Jessica is back!

How's everyone doing? ;)

Okay so this week my cousin Jessica came to visit our family! Jessica is probably my favorite cousin. lol! She is so much fun to be around, so naturally everyone was ecstatic. :) She lives in the San Fransisco area with her husband. She wanted to see us and also check out downtown L.A. She arrived early Friday morning. We went to many places and brought her to church on Sunday Morning as well. This was really special because shes been to our church before and I've seen God really touch her. She heard the preaching and came to the altar and prayed. She didn't receive the Holy Ghost but I know God blessed her for the faith it takes just for her to go to the altar. Keep her in your prayers everyone! :)
Saturday we took her to the infamous part of L.A. Downtown. Specifically, the Garment district. We had a really good time. All the walking can wear even the most extreme shopper down. lol It was crowded! (no surprise there) with very light drizzle. Every other little shop features a "representative" shouting, "5 Dollars, 5 Dollars, Everything five Dollars!" If you pay them to much attention it might start to annoy you. lol Then we capped thing off with a dinner at a Thai Restaurant(nuff' said) :)

That Sunday, after morning service, we took a trip to visit the Observatory. This brought back many memories of when I was younger because I was raised for most of my childhood in the city of Hollywood, CA. Memories of countless birthday parties, playgrounds, hiking (even though I was always on the hefty side) Would flood my mind. lol In 2004 the Observatory was shut down for remodeling. It didn't reopen till 2008. It didn't look much different then before(from the outside) But they added a bottom floor and really cleaned things up! the place was sparkling! :) It's no wonder that its the most visited Observatory in the world!

Jessica left early Wednesday morning, vowing she would shortly return! :)
I miss her already!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :) Spent time with your natural family or even your spiritual family. I know most of us have plenty of left overs to feed an army. lol Take Care.
More in a bit....
Peace,
-Elias
