Burrito Rage!

Hello! :)

Okay so I just had to post this crazy story I read about. Two days ago at a Taco Bell in San Antonio, a drive through customer completely flipped out! Was it because of terrible service? Long wait? Or maybe his favorite item had been discontinued? No! It was all due to the fact that the price of his beloved cheesy crunch burrito had risen by 50 Cents! He didn't know that the 99 Cent. promotion had come to an end. As wild as it sounds, the customer shot his bebe gun at the Taco Bell manager! The customers all dropped for cover. When police arrived at the scene, he fired shots at the squad cars. There was then a stand off that ended with the man surrendering. This was after police threw tear gas into a near by hotel room that the suspect ran into. The suspect was detained and is now facing attempted murder charges. All over a 50 Cent price change on his burrito?! UNREAL! I hope nobody notifies this guy about the current price per gallon of gas.

Have a good day and keep your "cool" ;)

Each one, reach one!

Good Morning to you all :)

Today is Friday and with that we can all sigh a breath of relieve :) Now this means tomorrow will be Saturday (Shocker!) OUTREACH! I love going to outreach, I'll be honest tho, I haven't been going consistently and that needs to change :) There are many people I know who never miss it, thank you for leading by example. We go door to door and visit the van kids, many times getting new kids to come. Some of these kids come from broken homes. I know that many of the kids look forward to Saturdays because they know the people from the church are going to visit.
For some, Sunday means more than just Sunday school, they receive love and support from the members. They hear bible stories that fascinate them beyond any movie! Hear music that praises God and not man! Find someone that can be the big brother or sister they never had. Hear the word of God and feel his presence. Some kids appear real shy, some put up walls. I know a few that act "tuf" in reality tho they want someone to spend time with them, there going through critical years in there life. God has a plan for each and every one of them! :) So go out and be involved :) "Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth", Luke 15:10. Each one counts, God is no respecter of man (Rank or status). Participate in outreach, that way were staying busy with God's kingdom. The kingdoms of this world will one day perish with a fervent heat, so why spend all your time building treasures in this life?
We all need a reminder from time to time of where our priorities should be. Having a positive impact on someones life, brings about a sense of true fulfillment. Take someone under your wings. I've personally had many people do this for me, took the time and made me feel important and taught me God's word. We played sports, bought me lunch. There comes a time when WE must give back, weather it be of our time or resources. Reach out :)

"He's the only reason I live" (Joy Elms)

Verse:

I've been blessed with so many things, God's been good to me
I have family and friends who share in all I do
But if i lose it all and I am left with nothing
If I have the Lord I know I'll make it through

Chorus:

He's the only reason I live, but oh, what a reason
He's the only reason I live, but oh, what a reason
There's nothing in this world worth living for
It only leaves you empty and longing for more
Oh, He's the only reason I live, but oh, what a reason

Verse:

Now you may have tried a lot of things to find real happiness
But if you've looked very long, then you know it can't be found
Until you find the Lord, in the power of His Spirit
Jesus will be the reason to live, and He'll never let you down.

Chorus:

Dwell on that! ;) Have a good day :)

Prayer for the people of Japan

Hello :]

As you have all probably already heard, this past Friday there was an 8.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan. We then heard that it was followed up with a massive tsunami, that swept through and caused incredible amounts of damage. Thousand have been confirmed dead, while millions are left with out power, water, and food. There have also been growing concern over a potential nuclear meltdown. The long and painful recovery process is well under way, despite damage to roads and other transport infrastructure. We need to keep the people of Japan in our prayers.

Have a good one

Choose ye this day!

Top of the morning to you all!  :)

This year is flying by so fast, soon well be talking summer camp and beach trips! I just can't wait. :) For last two weeks weve been in revival. It's been incredible! Revival is a time, when as church, we can get "fine tuned". In others words rededicated to God. Turing our focus to God, cause lets be honest, sometimes we let the cares of life fill our mind and thoughts. We might even fall in a rut, or become complacent. During one of the services Bro. Ballew preaced about the land in between. It brings to mind Rev. 3:16 "So then becasue thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth." What a reminder it was that we can't just sit on the fence or float through life with out direction. I've often heard this statement, which holds true. "Your not gonna stumble into heaven"(accidently make it there).  Bro. Ballew is a very annoited man of God, he also used the verse in the book of Matthew "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other..." What a powerful verse! If we let it, the word of God can shine the light in each and everyone of our lives. Bringing to light areas that need God's attention. So just like Joshua urged the people thousands of years ago, choose ye THIS day whom you will serve! :)

Have a great day and try not to think about the gas prices to much ;)
