16 Fashion Faux Pas (For Guys)

1. Cartoon Ties. C'mon, guys. Cheeeeesy!!! :D

2. Guys that wear printed t-shirts under white dress shirts? Maybe you didn't know, but we can see the pizza logo and phone number through your shirt!!
3. High-waters are a BIG no-no!

4. Brown belt, black shoes. Don't do it.
5. I'm not sure if this is exactly a boo boo. But, if you're trying to win Nicole's heart, DO NOT wear a silver suit! This is the ultimate in fashion faux pauxcity, in her opinion.

6. White sports socks with your black suit...Ewww...
7. Pink shirts. I don't care if you ARE perfectly secure in your masculinity...the rest of us are NOT!

8. Skinny jeans OR skinny dress pants. It seems like this would be an obvious, but going to different conferences, you'd be surprised at how much of this we see. IT. IS. GROSS.

9. Iron the wrinkle out that the hanger makes in your pants. It's not THAT hard, is it?
10. Short ties.

11. Neon orange dress socks. (Granpsnak!)
12. I don't like unibrows...BUT! Even more scary is a guy that does his own eyebrows. Get married. Let your wife do them. You don't want to look like Bert from Sesame Street.

13. Non-pleated dress pants. It looks feminine.
14. Bed hair. Do yo hair...use a comb! It looks like this:

15. Super pointy-toed shoes.

16. White walls. (This is what happens when you mow the lawn when your hair is longish, then get a haircut. You'll have a white line all along your neck).

Youth Alive 2011! September 8 & 9th

2) Friday night after the service, the YMCA will be open for us. Basketball and other fun activities. $ 5 dollars for admission.

The Fear of the Lord

Good Morning :)

I'm enjoying a nice ice coffee right now, but I have a few words to share..

Young people, we have to walk in the fear of the Lord. We all say we love Jesus, but how do we back that up? John 14:15, "If you love me, KEEP my commandments" So it's more than words. More than just saying we do love him, but showing it. Showing it through word and deed :) Praise him through our actions, seeking his face EVERY day. Desire to be more like him, to allow him to mold us. Yesterday, Bro. P.J. White preached an awesome message, reminding us that there are so many people that believe in us, (Parents, Church family, etc.) But we have to have faith also and mix it with theirs..We have to do our share of spiritual lifting. Live for God! There is no other life worth living. During alter call yesterday, I was praying and I basically told God that this was it. This is why I'm here, called to be his servant. That his will is what I want, not the foolishness of this world.

Mathew 16:26, "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

That verse is tough medicine :) What would we trade it all for? What are we giving in exchange for God? What do we feel is more important? The answer should be, Nothing. Take this whole world and give me Jesus!

Good Morning :)

This is a picture of a "Police ID" I found in the toy section of Target. Lol I think I recognize the guy in the pic ;)..I left Bennet's ID there so he could hopefully find it.
