Let the snow fall! & Beware of Dog

Good afternoon :)

   This past weekend felt like one of the coldest weekends in recent memory. It actually snowed in Burbank, CA! Not very hard but according to www.cbsnew.com It's Burbank's first significant snow fall in 62 years! INCREDIBLE! :)

For those of you who live on the East Coast, your in our thoughts. ;)

Q: How does snow fall tie in with my dog?

A: It doesn't. lol

I was having an in depth conversation with my mom, as you know dogs are a big responsibility and you just never know. She suggested we get one of those classic "Beware of Dog" signs. So I thought, that's BORING. So I did a little searching, then I found the following image..  :)

One of those moments!

Happy Tuesday to you all :)

   Like most of you I still can't believe the holiday weekend is already over! I've accepted this(without choice) I've moved on. lol So I want to share one of those "No way" moments that I experienced just a couple weeks ago. Everyone goes through them, some more than others. It happened a couple Sundays ago, we had a special speaker for the morning services. Bro. Martin, from NC. A great man of God, not to mention a great sense of humor. I was on the drums that morning(Red flags should already be going up) lol And we were having a great service. Towards the end of the preaching (or at least I thought) Bro. Martin asked everyone to go ahead and just stand and worship God! Sometimes this can mean the preachings almost over. I saw Sis. White go to the organ. This basically confirmed it, a no brainer. So I make my way to the drum cage, along the way I pass Sis. McElhaney (who is on the piano). I sat down and put the head phones on. At that point I looked up. I noticed everyone was sitting down again. Including Sis. White. I was the only one up there! I then realised Bro. Martin must have gave Sis. White the signal that he wanted to continue. I didn't get the memo! So as I was about to quickly exit, Bro Martin turned and said, "Are you okay brother?" lol WHY ME?! haha I laughed and he asked, "Is it hot in there?" I replied, "no" lol. "Okay good, stay in there" haha. He laughed then said,"Your doing good brother, It's my fault" Lol So there I sat for the remainder of the preaching! Until the wonderful words finally came, "Lets all stand". They say life is 10% what happens to you and 90 %  how you react. I think I handled that well. :)

Moral of the story: Never let your guard down ;)

Presidents Day Weekend!

Power Balance Fraud.

Hello, hello! :)

Power Balance Bands or bracelets, there everywhere! have been spotted on many "big name" athletes. From all different type of sports. These little wrist bands have only recently gained nationwide popularity. So one might ask, what do they do? Well after much research and mathematical calculations. I have come to this conclusion.....NOTHING. lol The company claims it improves balance, strength, and flexibility ( maybe even do your laundry) lol. There is actually no prove that these bands actually do work. Well lately I've been seeing many people wearing them. Even young kids! I thought to myself , this was just another one of those dumb trends. I did find it shocking when I read of so many people who released "testimonials" of how these bands helped improve their mile, or gave them energy. On each bracelet there is a small hologram that is inserted in them, this hologram is what Power Balance claims helps you improve as an athlete. These bands sold for $29. 95 each. Early this year they admitted that they had no actual scientific proof to back up their claims. A Power Balance Rep, released the following statement, "We admit that there is no credible scientific evidence that supports our claims, therefore we engaged in misleading conduct". In other words, it's a scam. lol A good one too, roughly $ 35 million in sales last year! Power Balance probably won't be sued but they have definitely lost most of its credibility and sales will likely plummet.

Update on Layla :]

Hola amigos,

Layla is getting so big now, she loves to eat. (Everything in her sight). She's at her little teething stage and so we have to hide everything from her! Shoes, purses, socks. lol Nothing is safe from her. Oh and I'm positive she has doubled in size! :) It's funny because her ears are starting to stand up on their own...well, so far only one ear. haha
