Full Circle

Good Morning,

Hope you all had a great weekend! At least for today only, most of southern California is experiencing heavy rain. Yes, rain. I had anticipated today's forecast thanks to my weather app. So while doing some shopping at Home Depot, I scooped one of these up

The problem with this weather is that we don't know how to handle it. We simply don't know how to drive in the rain, like a 16 year old borrowing his dads muscle car to run an errand. Imagine, a sea of first time drivers! That is what you get when it rains in L.A.

Moving along.....

This past Sunday, I helped one of the youth leaders at our church teach the youth class lesson. It was her lesson plan and I just tried to find random ways to help her because I felt like the guy getting paid to not really do anything. So I would hold any and all print outs she printed, greet the kids, collect the offering etc. Organize things that didn't really need much organizing..lol I had helped with Sunday school before but never the youth class, so I did some observing and took a lot of mental notes. I have a few weeks to prepare my own lesson and after observations I came to the following conclusion: We need an alter call in those rooms, them kids are something else. lol Maybe the reason why they don't do that is because you would have to haul wooden benches up a couple flight of stairs. lol! In all honesty, I enjoyed it and count it an honor. That age range is such a crucial time in a persons life. God bless all the Sunday School teachers! amen.

Tis all for now,  Hope to see you at Oncourse, PCC and other meetings soon to come.

Have a nice day/week/month/year/life

Christmas not "X-mas"

Good day to you all!

I recognize there has been a little absence of posts here. All is well, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas time with your loved ones this far!.....I enjoyed watching all the youngsters open up there gifts, as usual I waited till the last minute to complete all my shopping but it all turned out well. [Random Insert] I had Chick-Fil-A today, somewhere I don't normally eat at. They have officially won me over! So.....

I was really hungry as a result of day-after Christmas sales, so you have to take this with a grain of salt. lol Anyways, I am looking forward to the new year. For all you regular Pacific Coast Camp Alumni. lol This upcoming camp year will be my last one as a camper :(

With a new year, bring new goals. We have been reaping the harvest of a big evangelistic push this past year, as our Shepard has had the burden we share. A new challenge was issued this past week, one that calls for more bible studies. Lord willing, my friend and I have one lined up!!  :). Thought I'd wrap this post up on that note, so God bless you all and have a good night!

Mostly West Coast :)

Good Morning!

I didn't take that many West Coast Pictures I was a little preoccupied ;)

The week before West Coast we had a fellowship meeting in Santa Paula. The service was awesome, Bro. Tim Brown Preached. It was good seeing everyone's favorite guy, Victor Storm. He did a great job leading service and even sang a special.

The following day was our highly anticipated, Round Up Sunday! A big evangelism push for our Sunday School Kids, Many of whom brought their parents to church. We all dressed up as cowboys, even yours truly, lol. I'm a city boy so I really didn't know what I was doing. haha

DUNK TANK!!

The Calm Before the Storm

There were small skits and plenty of laughs

Skit members

Matty James playing the bad guy roll

One of my first customers at the Dart Booth. You have to be prayed up to take this job. lol

Pastor was dunked shorty after this.

West Coast

-The following week I drove up with Josh and his dad. Matt was with us also, the drive up there wasn't too bad. Lot's of wind but we avoided the grapevine taking a different route. Let me just let you know that I had a really bad cold during the entire time of WC. Don't know how I made it, Lack of sleep only made it worse. I was pretty much living off of DayQuil. lol We didn't stay at usual Raddison/Fresno Inn/Double Tree/Triple Stack Baconater. lol No complaints tho, the place had two rooms and a living room haha

Quick Story: My buddy Jacob stayed with us and well we only had four card keys, he had to basically depend on us to get in the room. On the last night as customarily, we all go to Denny's. Load up on water with Lemon and have a good time. lol Well him and I went to different Denny's and we were different groups, his contained someone special to him. So I naturally understood.

Well...he got back much later than we did. Well we were all  so tired that we knocked out. My phone was charging out of reach and I fell asleep! My phone was on silent so I never heard his calls. He knocked and knocked on the door and no one heard him. This was 4am, he ended up sleeping in his truck for a couple hours. Then came back and knocked at 6. One of us finally heard and let him in. He basically broke the record for latest hour return to a hotel in conference history.

"Welcome to our Humble Commode. "lol

Stumbled into a small store trying to get quarters for a self car wash. Found the Mexican Candy Heaven!

We know who marked up Jacob's Tuck, He didn't really mind tho *cough cough*

I was too lazy to zoom in. lol

Yuraih and Arthel teasing me about me currently dating. We were so tired, including Marvin. The guy who took the picture. lol I think we talked about just every topic we could think of. I ordered a hot tea, first time ever. lol

One of the best pics ever. Keep in mind, all Burbank and soon to be Burbank. lol ;) But in this group are new converts and they look like seasoned vets. Thank God, he is really doing great things in our church. We had more new people that went, they just didn't make it in this pic. :)

As mentioned earlier, I was preoccupied. :)

Anyways, not the most pics, half of which weren't even West Coast related. lol It is what it is. lol The services were amazing Bro. Lackey's preaching the last night, stuck with me the most. For those of us who don't attend T.T. we didn't know some of his background and how God lead him to take over the Elder Morton's Church. He let everyone know how grateful he was for a praying daddy and how it impacted his life!

Hope you have a great day and God Bless

September Ended

Good Morning!

Hope all is well This is what it looks like outside this morning!

Its been getting pretty cold in the mornings, I blast the heater. Just in case I haven't said it before, I don't drink hot coffee. I only like Ice Coffee, so all year long I drink Ice Coffee in the morning. So it doesn't matter how cold it gets :)

I had a rather busy weekend and I managed to get a few pics!

Friday

Corn Mazes.....First proposed a week prior, as a youth and prayer night. I wan't for it initially but it was voted and well majority rules. lol  My vote was for Go-Karts(Only 10 minutes from my house) Lol A good size group of us went and we had a great time, running through mazes with Marvin and Drew was hilarious. I came so close to falling a couple times and are girls barely made it out alive. lol

Panorama Group on top!

 Saturday

We got home from the Maze around 1am and we had to be up at 4:30 that same day. A bunch of our guys were going to Men's day in Fresno. Sorry no pics of the actual service, it's kinda top secret. lol ;) The preaching was really awesome and it was good seeing some familiar faces. I actually wish we could have spent the entire day up there but oh well. On the way up there, we all got to chat with Pastor the entire time and that was pretty neat. All in all, a great time.

Sunday

Jasmine got baptized!

Last but not least, family came down to visit from the bay area. Blessed to say, we had some of their home cooking! We actually meet them at the Observatory and the place was packed. We had Johnathan and Fatima with us, a couple new youngsters at our church. It was their first time there. So back to my family, the siblings started scheming and now we might be looking at Thanksgiving in Frisco. Not a bad idea ;)

I felt a burden for my cousin and her husband and kids. Do you ever look at a family and think, "I could picture them in church living for God". Well that's exactly how I felt. Take it to the Lord in prayer!

To wrap it up, I hope you guys have a great day. Hope to see many of you at West Coast or even Spanish Conference!

Have a Blessed Day,

Elias
