Hope everyone had a great weekend!

 I have to admit...the Wakefield's really had me laughing at all they came up with. I'm considering keeping the Barney song permanently. LOL If you want the Barney song brought back, cast a vote (See poll). 15 Votes and It's coming back! There fashion post was directly aimed at me. haha jk Oh! & During service yesterday, I saw my good friend Cesar, sporting the silver suit! Immediately  my mind went back to that post! haha *Slaps knee* :) They kindly handed the blog back, with one exception...Anytime I want to post, I have to ask for their permission. lol jk! Heat!

 The heat this past weekend was unreal! lol As my friend Ash (wildtimes-ash.blogspot.com) best put it, "IT IS BURNING HOT OVER HERE" Lol

Friday:
Took a trip to visit the Mayes Family! Great people, Sis. Mayes was preparing a grand feast for us! lol Josh had the grill going and Bro. Mayes had me check out the giant gold fish that they have. IT was HUGE! How in the world did the gold fish get that big?! maybe it was payback for all the people who flush there dead gold fishes down the toilet?! Try doing that with this one and your gonna have to call "Joe the Plummer" $$$$ lol

The real deal!

After the splendid dinner, we all meet up with the youth of Palmdale! I love that youth group, just good people. There we played volleyball for a while and laughed off the hot night. Had a great time ;)

Youth Alive: I can't wait, seriously. :) Just a couple weeks away! 

Turning point: I titled this post turning point because it relates to me. Ever hit a rough patch in your life? when you just feel broken and feel the weight of the world on your back? Let people down and your just selling yourself short? Well I did and I can confirm that thanks to God and supporting family and friends, I'm back. Full force and Focused. I love God and can't wait to experience all he has for me, turned a new chapter in my life. I have to remind you all, turn to God. He is our help :) 

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.".

 God is putting all the right people in my life and I don't want to live one day with out talking to him. Stay strong and don't quite. More on that to come...But for now,

Life is like an SD card. It can only take so much.

Life is like a pair of sneakers. They get worn out after a million miles. 

Life is like a battery. You'll die if you don't get re-charged. 

Life is like cat nip. It makes you crazy. 

Life is like cocaine. It makes you crack. 

Life is like your house cleaner. Just do it yourself.

16 Fashion Faux Pas (For Guys)

1. Cartoon Ties. C'mon, guys. Cheeeeesy!!! :D

2. Guys that wear printed t-shirts under white dress shirts? Maybe you didn't know, but we can see the pizza logo and phone number through your shirt!!
3. High-waters are a BIG no-no!

4. Brown belt, black shoes. Don't do it.
5. I'm not sure if this is exactly a boo boo. But, if you're trying to win Nicole's heart, DO NOT wear a silver suit! This is the ultimate in fashion faux pauxcity, in her opinion.

6. White sports socks with your black suit...Ewww...
7. Pink shirts. I don't care if you ARE perfectly secure in your masculinity...the rest of us are NOT!

8. Skinny jeans OR skinny dress pants. It seems like this would be an obvious, but going to different conferences, you'd be surprised at how much of this we see. IT. IS. GROSS.

9. Iron the wrinkle out that the hanger makes in your pants. It's not THAT hard, is it?
10. Short ties.

11. Neon orange dress socks. (Granpsnak!)
12. I don't like unibrows...BUT! Even more scary is a guy that does his own eyebrows. Get married. Let your wife do them. You don't want to look like Bert from Sesame Street.

13. Non-pleated dress pants. It looks feminine.
14. Bed hair. Do yo hair...use a comb! It looks like this:

15. Super pointy-toed shoes.

16. White walls. (This is what happens when you mow the lawn when your hair is longish, then get a haircut. You'll have a white line all along your neck).

Youth Alive 2011! September 8 & 9th

2) Friday night after the service, the YMCA will be open for us. Basketball and other fun activities. $ 5 dollars for admission.

The Fear of the Lord

Good Morning :)

I'm enjoying a nice ice coffee right now, but I have a few words to share..

  Young people, we have to walk in the fear of the Lord. We all say we love Jesus, but how do we back that up? John 14:15, "If you love me, KEEP my commandments" So it's more than words. More than just saying we do love him, but showing it. Showing it through word and deed :) Praise him through our actions, seeking his face EVERY day. Desire to be more like him, to allow him to mold us. Yesterday, Bro. P.J. White preached an awesome message, reminding us that there are so many people that believe in us, (Parents, Church family, etc.) But we have to have faith also and mix it with theirs..We have to do our share of spiritual lifting. Live for God! There is no other life worth living. During alter call yesterday, I was praying and I basically told God that this was it. This is why I'm here, called to be his servant. That his will is what I want, not the foolishness of this world.

Mathew 16:26, "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"


That verse is tough medicine :) What would we trade it all for? What are we giving in exchange for God? What do we feel is more important? The answer should be, Nothing. Take this whole world and give me Jesus!
